What is The Montgomery Home?

The Montgomery Home is a Type B Assisted Living Facility.  A Type B facility is for residents who require staff assistance to evacuate in the event of an emergency, who are not capable of following directions in an emergency, and require nighttime attendance.

Our Mission

The Montgomery Home’s mission is to provide a place for elderly individuals to have independent living residential choices in the Palacios community. It will provide a safe and loving long-term environment for seniors to reside with dignity and grace.

What Makes Palacios, Texas Special?

Palacios is located 30 miles south of Bay City and 30 miles north of Port Lavaca on Tres Palacios Bay in the Matagorda Bay system. Palacios is a rural town of about 4,000 persons hosting winter Texans in the summer and is the home to the largest shrimp fleet in Texas.  

Palacios is a diverse city with about 40% Hispanics, 40% white, 2% black, and 8% Vietnamese. There is a rich history and diversity of food, cultural events, and celebrations are enjoyed by all.  Palacios is home to an array of houses of worship, several food outlets, shopping boutiques, hardware stores, and bait stands. Volunteerism is strong in the community as well as a love for the water and the lifestyle of a laid-back Texas small town.
